| Malice Ashdene | ((took me a while to get to reregistering for the site)) At one point in time, there was a particular angel, somewhere in a decadent, ivory-covered castle in heaven, whose vanity and overall bitchy-ness led her to become one of the more disliked angels in heaven. A certain angel of death, Jheric, Hand of Uriel, found these traits attractive, as they were similar to his own. But when he confronted her, she rejected him rudely, and he was so enraged that he ripped her apart and threw her from heaven, effectively banishing her. Realizing what he'd done, he himself ripped his wings from his back and jumped from heaven as well... When Malice had touched down on earth, on a bridge somewhere in the Northgate of the City of Lost Angels, she was almost unrecognizeable as a living being; she looked more like a leftover carcass ejected from a slaughterhouse. Luckily for her, as her banished angelic soul clung to her destroyed body, a Drow who just happened to be an expert in arcane magic and mechanics came along and decided to test a long thought-about theory on her... To make a living wind-up doll. The initial build was messy, unreliable, clunky, noisy, and overall annoying. It was only ever meant to merely sustain Malice's life while he worked on an improvement, thus he wound up Malice's windup key and let her restart, and find her way through the city, and hopefully survive the harsh envirement, with no memory at all of what had happened before. Somehow, the only things she'd remembered were her name, and the fact that she was an angel. After joining the Choir, and having various events pass by in an instant, being broken and rebuilt, broken and rebuilt, improved upon by various mechanics untill she could be considered a true mish-mash of engineering. Her maker returned finally to check up on his creation, and was rather upset at the various additions to her. And so, Malice is rebuilt again, less clunky, more reliable, more durable. And then Jheric returns... Since Malice's maker tried to make her resemble her old self as well as he possibly could, it didnt take long till Jheric recognized her, and you can guess where that went.. Though she's escaped, more or less, unscathed from most of her encounters with him since then. He reinserted the memories of their first encounter in heaven, though greatly distorting it and making himself seem innocent. Now she knows what she once was, and vows never to be like that again. Some more time passed, and more events with it, and eventually Malice fell in love with a vampire named Kayle ((take that, you people who keep calling him an angel @_@ blonde hair in the choir does not always equal angelicness!)) and it wasnt long untill they got married. A very strange turn of events, as when news of Jheric's slaying Malice reached the Seven, he was sentenced to an eternity in the outer darkness. Though, since Uriel favored him, only part of the sentence was carried out. Jheric's soul was split, and the purest part of it put into a young man who was left for dead after being drained by a vampire, thus becoming an incarnation of Jheric. This man was none other than Kayle. And of course, this story continues untill they all die, which shouldnt be any time in the near future... | Malice Ashdene | hmmm... i recently realized, when i was just randomly thinking on a quiet day.... i never did make some of her personality traits very clear in many RPs im in or in my backstory o_O just to clarify: Malice hates being a doll. Malice doesnt trust any mechanics other than Mephiston or the drow that rebuilt her (and she very reluctantly trusts him. she rather dislikes him) Malice is under the impression that shes not supposed to be alive, and would be better off otherwise (lololol emo dolly) Malice will often try to push herself when her mechanisms are having an issue, rather than trying to seek help, as it makes her feel inferior. just thought people might find it interesting, and i felt it wasnt very clear \o/ | 02/09/09 23:37 |
