| Ziau | One wrong move and they will pound My nails are tight inside my wrists This sacrament is sacrilege and sentimental Deity experimental, faith is accidental - Opium of the People, Slipknot. ++++ Prose, what is prose to those who cannot see? What is words to a mouth that cannot speak? What is life to a heart that cannot beat? With each turn of this hourglass I write- I was there- I have seen. I was young, I was scared, I still had a lot to dream, I wore an overcoat and a hat , I was still handsome and lean. So valuable to a surgeon, an amateur like me, With me I had tools, so sharp and so clean. Rain fell hard, rolling against flesh and wetting my hair, But I told him to lean back and relax in the large metal chair. First went his eyes, I took them from his skull, "It will all be over soon" I said with a soft southern drawl. I just kept cutting and taking, with no intent to fix or bind, And alas, I could not think with sin about my mind. The scalpel I used with precision I assume, For in my work, like a demon,you can only presume. His name I never got- he just came and asked for the 'Doc', Little did he know I still had plenty of time left on my clock. I was cutting him up, putting him where I put my lunch, In a little blue cooler, that hardly had food in it,... much. Call me demented, or you can call me a freak, But that night I lost my scalpel, missing when I came back from a leak. I thought I was mad, I had thought that with all my my heart, But in the lobby of this Dark City Hosital was three corpses torn apart. A werewolf, a lycan, whatever they're named, Slit them from ear to ear and no one but he was blamed. They called him Ziau, last names for something or another, Ah yes, obituaries, and with him his look-alike brother. He had taken my tool and with precision he cut, The nekos in the lobby who had called him a mutt. I say this with caution, for I still think I'm mad, But he tucked away my scalpel, that smooshy faced lad. He took it away, far from my sight, Leaped over a building and off into the night. It never came back, and that was my favorite tool, Him and his brother leaving me babbling like a fool. I had come here for work, work that goes unpayed, But this place is a hellhole, my emotions but frayed. My kind of work is terror, a human you see, But in this city I am weak, and there is no room for a cutter like me. They laugh, call me mad, an old cliche name, They think that when I want to hurt them- it's even a sexual game. What is this wretched place, why will no one hear my scream, A place of Lost Angels, all built on Hell's wicked dream. I have seen the horned ones, the cat people alike, And the Syndacite humans told me to go take a hike. No room for the crazies, so the Clan took me in, But all are crazier than me, I cannot compete with the sin. So here I write, collecting these thoughts, A toolcase with a replaced scalpel I bought. With precision I cut, my wrist in this fear, But even Lucifer himself won't come take me from here. Blood on the page- blood in the street, Yet with my severed tendon my handwriting is curving and neat. Why can't I die- why must I live, I have given this world all the fucking sin I have to give. I cut the people up, I take away their souls, I feed it to Abaddon, down in his fiery hole. But here I am left immortal, here I still stay awake, Each dripping drop and my body won't shake. I saw him, he took my scalpel away- this one just isn't right, He took away and ran off in the night! I will find you Ziau Jua, I will get back my soul, And when I do, it will be you who burns in that hole. I will get back my life, my humanity, my madness, Because a life of immortality without my passion is a life full of sadness. I can look to the Prime, and the rest of the Clan, But they never see me- never talk back to my demands. Am I a specter, a ghost or a voice, It's not like I gained this state of confusion or was given a choice. God cannot help me- I took too many of his own, But now I am writing this passage, so cold and alone. If you read this please help me- if you can help me please do, I am the doctor of CoLA with the lunch pail of blue.
